Welcome to Soft Focus.
Before we begin in earnest, a few notes for the margins:
What you’ll find here are essays and reflections shaped by curiosity and memory. Some will be deeply personal, others will tilt toward cultural critique. Often, they’ll do both. I’m interested in the forces, visible and invisible, that shape how we desire, how we connect, how we make meaning in bodies and language and silence.
This space isn’t a diary, nor is it a manifesto. It’s a place for slow, deliberate thinking; for the lingering questions about sex, power, intimacy, identity, and the murky terrain between them. This is not a space for clean answers or certainty. I’m here to notice. To name. To write within the grey areas that don’t always get airtime.
I’ll publish once a week, sometimes more. If you’ve followed my work elsewhere, welcome, I’m glad you’re here. And if you’re just arriving, I hope this becomes a place you return to, a soft place to land.
It’s not perfect. It’s not polished. But it’s mine. And now, maybe, a little bit yours.
