Writing about sexuality, intimacy, and self-expression is equal parts joy and labour. It takes time to research, reflect, and write with nuance, to balance honesty with care, and to offer something meaningful in a world that so often flattens or sensationalises these conversations. This isn’t just content, it’s advocacy, storytelling, and a commitment to creating a space where people can feel seen and less alone.
I started this Substack because I wanted a place to write more deeply, outside of the noise of algorithms or the pressure of endless scrolling feeds. My goals here are simple: to share ideas that invite reflection, to foster conversations that matter, and to remind us all that sexuality is not just about pleasure but also about power, culture, vulnerability, and connection.
But for this work to be sustainable, it has to be supported. Every essay takes hours of thought, drafting, and editing. Every post is part of a long arc of exploration that I hope builds a body of work worth returning to. Paid subscriptions aren’t just about money, they’re about valuing this labour, making it possible for me to keep showing up here with clarity and consistency.
If you’ve been enjoying these posts, I’d love your support as a paid subscriber. Your contribution helps me carve out the time and energy to keep writing, keep questioning, and keep making this space richer for all of us.
Already supporting me? Consider sharing this Substack with a friend or colleague who might find value in it. Word of mouth is the best way to help this community grow.
Thank you, truly, for reading and for being here. It matters more than you know.
Violet
